1 min read
Last week Garmin released a big update to their popular Pilot My-Cast iPhone/iPad app, and most notably added support for XM Satellite Weather. When connected to the Baron WxWorx Receiver you’ll now be able to display up-to-date NEXRAD radar images and text weather within the app. In addition, this version 3.3.0 update also added some other useful features:
- Loading departure or arrival procedures now automatically loads all the waypoints at the same time
- Added the ability to download all the charts for a particular airport
- Create folders in the app to quickly access your favorite charts
- Additional settings to toggle ownship display, route path opacity and enhanced dimming
Garmin Pilot My-Cast is available for free on the iTunes App Store (subscription required), though you can test drive the app free for 30 days.
