ForeFlight Power Users Training Continues to Grow with More Than 3 Hours of New Content
One of the biggest advantages of online training is that it doesn’t stand still—and neither does ForeFlight.
Since launching ForeFlight Power Users Training earlier this year, the ForeFlight education team has continued expanding the course with new lessons covering many of the app’s latest features and capabilities. As of this week, subscribers now have access to more than three additional hours of training, reinforcing the course’s value as a continually evolving resource for ForeFlight users.
The latest additions include in-depth lessons on:
- Emergency Glide – Learn how ForeFlight’s emergency glide feature automatically calculates your wind-corrected glide range, identifies reachable airports, and highlights potential off-airport landing sites during an engine-out emergency.
- Map Annotations 2.0 – Discover new ways to mark up charts and maps with improved annotation tools.
- Mobile Clearance Delivery – Learn how to receive IFR clearances directly within ForeFlight, reducing workload before departure.
- ClearNOTAMs – an AI-powered feature in ForeFlight that translates dense, heavily coded NOTAMs into clear, plain-language summaries.
- Custom Content – Explore how to import and organize your own PDFs, documents, maps, and other reference materials within ForeFlight.

These new lessons build on an already comprehensive curriculum covering advanced flight planning, IFR procedures, Route Advisor, Dynamic Procedures, weight and balance, takeoff and landing performance, inflight decision-making, and ForeFlight Logbook.
Rather than simply demonstrating individual features, the course is designed around real-world pilot workflows, helping you understand when and why to use ForeFlight’s tools throughout every phase of flight.
The updated course now includes more than eight hours of video training and is available through an annual subscription for just $75 in the Sporty’s Pilot Training app for iPad, iPhone, and online.
For current subscribers, these lessons are available now at no additional cost. If you’ve been considering sharpening your ForeFlight skills—or simply want to stay current as the app continues to evolve—there has never been a better time to dive in.
