Flying with ForeFlight teaches pilots how to use both the basic and advanced features of ForeFlight.

ForeFlight Mobile has become the most popular app for pilots, with a mix of powerful features and an easy-to-use interface. But like any software, there’s a lot to learn and some time spent learning the basics can really pay off. The new Flying with ForeFlight training program from Sporty’s Pilot Shop is designed to help pilots with just that. Packed with jargon-free tips and real world shortcuts, it’s ideal for prospective users, new ForeFlight pilots and experienced pros alike.

The program is centered around 11 HD video modules, covering each section of the ForeFlight app in detail. It starts by explaining the basics, like FAA regulations and how to download and get started with the app. The program then goes on to explain how to get the most out of ForeFlight, like how to use the Route Editor and moving maps, including the new track-up and terrain features. You’ll learn how to properly preflight the iPad, and then fly along on a real trip to see all the features in action.

The program includes the ForeFlight Pilot’s Guide, FAA Advisory Circular 91-78 and a review quiz to help reinforce key concepts. A printable iPad/ForeFlight preflight checklist is also included to quickly guide pilots in setting up the iPad before each flight.

The Flying with ForeFlight video is approximately 60 minutes in length, and is available as an online streaming course. No software needs to be installed and the mobile-friendly course may be viewed on Windows, Mac or iPad. The program is available here for $29.99: Flying with ForeFlight video course.
