Sporty’s to present 3 iPad Seminars at Oshkosh

Sporty’s will once again be hosting a series of seminars at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2012, the world’s largest airshow. Experts from Sporty’s staff will share tips and advice on the following iPad topics:

  • Flying with the iPad. A crash course on the iPad for pilots. Learn which model iPad to buy, pre-flight tips, which apps to use, advanced user tips, accessory options and much more. Thursday, July 26 at 1pm in Forum Pavilion 5.
  • Datalink Weather and the iPad. Weather has become a must-have feature on the iPad, with new options being announced every month. Learn how ADS-B technology works, and how you can receive free in-flight weather on your favorite app. Includes a demo of Stratus, the ADS-B receiver made for ForeFlight. Thursday, July 26 at 2:30pm in Forum Pavilion 8.
  • Flying with the iPad. A crash course on the iPad for pilots. Learn which model iPad to buy, pre-flight tips, which apps to use, advanced user tips, accessory options and much more. Friday, July 27 at 2:30pm in Forum Pavilion 8.
Sporty’s will also be hosting a fourth seminar Tuesday, July 24 at 2:30pm, in Forum Pavilion 4 on Video Cameras in the Cockpit.  This will cover how to use small HD cameras to record lessons and memorable flights from the cockpit, and tips on buying the right camera system. You’ll even learn how to use the iPad as a wireless viewfinder for the HD cameras.

  2. I agree with Leon. I will be there mon,tues, &wed and have to leave Thursday. Any chance of a forum earlier in he week?
    Travelled from Australia and was looking forward to the iPad workshops!
