Apple recently updated their iPad battery safety certifications documentation to state that the iPad lithium polymer battery meets the testing and safety criteria required by Advisory Circular (AC) 120-76B

Debate: the F.A.A. and electronic devices on airline flights

As pilots we all know that the F.A.A.'s catch-all rule prohibiting electronic devices on airline flights is a bit ridiculous. Is it time for them to update the regulations?
