Garmin Adds FISK Arrival to Navigation Database for Oshkosh 2025

Flying into EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is a rite of passage for many pilots—and navigating the famous FISK Arrival is a key part of the adventure. This year, Garmin Aviation is making that process a little easier. For the first time ever, the FISK Arrival is now included in the Garmin Navigation Database as a selectable arrival procedure, streamlining navigation for pilots flying to the world’s largest airshow.
With the latest 2507 cycle update, all transitions and runways associated with the FISK Arrival are selectable within Garmin avionics, Garmin Pilot, and SmartCharts. This means you can now follow the same route depicted in the FAA’s Oshkosh Notice, with additional visual cues and guidance available on your panel or tablet.
Historically, only a few of the VFR waypoints along the FISK route were available in standard navigation databases, but Garmin’s new approach includes full coding of the route—including specific instructions like “fly the shoreline of Puckaway Lake” and “fly between Fisk Avenue and the Microwave Tower.”
To get the 2507 cycle or purchase the Garmin Navigation Database, visit flyGarmin.com. For Garmin Pilot and a free SmartCharts trial, head to Garmin.com/GarminPilot.
Whether it’s your first time flying to Oshkosh or your 20th, this new database update could help reduce workload and improve situational awareness during one of the busiest arrivals in aviation.
