New Flight Gear Backpack Built Around Starlink Mini

Starlink Mini has exploded in popularity, offering a way to bring high-speed internet to our GA flight decks. But there’s a downside to the portability that Starlink offers becuase now you have another piece of equipment to carry, along with cables, power supplies, and accessories. Flight Gear’s new Starlink Mini Backpack is designed specifically to solve that problem. That dedicated storage is particularly useful for pilots who regularly move Starlink Mini between airplanes, since keeping the terminal and its accessories together can make setup at the next stop much simpler.

But the backpack isn’t just a Starlink case with shoulder straps. A dedicated headset hangar keeps a headset suspended inside the bag, while a padded pocket accommodates an iPad or laptop. Two exterior side pockets provide convenient storage for a water bottle, handheld radio, or backup power pack. And an internal gear wall with removable gear mods allows pilots to customize the storage layout for other flight gear, tools, and accessories.

The backpack also includes several smaller touches that make sense for aviation use. A high-visibility interior makes it easier to find smaller items, while four exterior webbing loops provide attachment points for carabiners or other gear. There’s also a hidden pocket for an E-Tracker.

On the outside, a water-resistant bottom with custom cleats helps keep the contents protected when the bag is set down on a wet ramp or hangar floor.
