Lightspeed releases new companion app for Zulu 4 headset
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
|
Lightspeed Aviation has always been at the forefront of aviation headset technology. They were one of the first to offer Bluetooth audio connectivity and customizable headset options through their FlightLink app on iOS. Now, there’s an exciting new Lightspeed Aviation App for those who use the Zulu 4 headset. Lightspeed recently announced the launch of the latest generation of premium ANR aviation headsets before EAA AirVenture 2025.
Audio Recording
Leveraging features from the FlightLink app, the Lightspeed Aviation App offers comprehensive audio recording and playback capabilities. Once the Zulu 4 headset is connected via Bluetooth, users can start recording by tapping the record button on the Recording tab. The app captures all headset audio, including intercom and ATC communications. Users can easily replay specific radio calls or browse through previous recordings using the folder icon.
Notes
The app also has a handy sketch pad feature. Draw a diagram, take notes, or jot down a clearance directly on the iPad screen. Each note can be save, retrived and shared from the built-in storage library.
The Lightspeed Aviation App is a free download available for iPad and iPhone running iOS 13 or later. Currently, it is only compatible with the Zulu 4, which is now available for shipping. If you fly with the Delta Zulu, you might be interested in the companion app for that headset.
