The Navigator iPad Case with Heat Sink combines rugged protection and smart thermal management into one streamlined package.
For pilots, the iPad has become as essential as a headset or chart, but it’s only as effective as the accessories that support it. The Navigator iPad Case with Heat Sink, available from Sporty’s, combines rugged protection, flight deck versatility, and smart thermal management into one streamlined package—making it an excellent addition to any pilot’s flight bag.
Cool, Slim, and Flight-Ready
One of the standout features of the Navigator Case is its integrated heat sink, designed to keep your iPad running smoothly—even under the stress of direct sunlight in the cockpit. This feature alone makes it a favorite for pilots who have experienced the panic of an overheat shutdown.
Despite its robust protection, the case remains slim and lightweight, which is especially important in a space-constrained cockpit. It’s available in three pilot-preferred sizes: iPad mini 6, iPad Pro 11”, and iPad 10.2”, offering something for nearly every EFB setup.
Built for the Flight Deck
The case includes a removable mount and cover, offering flexibility for both in-flight use and pre/post-flight tasks. The included mount plate and 1″ ball joint make it compatible with a wide range of cockpit mounts, allowing pilots to position their iPad at the perfect angle for charts, approach plates, or in-flight checklists.
The TPU tough case material provides 360-degree protection, guarding your device against the in-flight bumps and the occasional flight deck fumble.
Smart Protection for the Digital Cockpit
Pilots who use a Heat Block Screen Protector will appreciate the full compatibility of this case, ensuring both thermal and physical protection without compromising touchscreen sensitivity or visibility.
Whether you’re flying cross-country or hopping between local airports, the Navigator iPad Case with Heat Sink is designed to keep your EFB cool, secure, and easy to use—every step of the journey.
Looking for a smart, heat-resistant upgrade to your EFB setup? The Navigator Case from Sporty’s is a great option at just $99 from Sportys.com.
Nice. Is the Navigator’squick release compatible with Pivot (Flyboys) mounting solutions?
Does the ball mount shown come with the case? If so, what is its diameter?
Thanks,
Tim
It is not compatible with the Pivot mounting solutions as the Pivot adapter is slightly larger. Yes, the 1″ in ball mount comes with the case.
Will this fit a 2025 iPad Air 11″?
As received from Sporty’s yesterday it is NOT compatible with the I Pad 11″ AIR. I left my AIR in the new Navigator case overnight not realizing that the ON/OFF switch on top RH corner was being depressed by the case. In the morning the I Pad AIR would NOT turn on. After several hours of recharging and the AIR will still not come back to life!
I liked the new case so much that I modified it “DIY” by cutting a larger hole to allow the ON/OFF button to work freely. Everything else fits perfectly! NOW, are there any I PAD Gurus out there that can tell me how to revive my 2025 I PAD AIR 11″?? It is still DEAD! (read previous post)
No it is not. There is an iPad 11″ Pro model, but not Air.
